Twitter: Quote Tweets Are Now More Traceable.

Twitter has officially announced the release of its new feature which allows users differentiate easily between tweets that have only been retweeted and tweets that have been retweeted with comments.

In a blog post, the company said: “Tweets about a Tweet add more to the conversation, so we’ve made them even easier to find,” the company said, also noting that the new counter will be shown between the existing “Retweets” and “Likes” labels.

Twitter has been trying out the feature for a while now with different names and user interface designs. Apparently, the feature was first called “retweet with comments”, then “Quote Tweets”. The social network has also considered hiding the feature in a sub-menu rather than just showing it directly on the tweet.

Twitter has always made it possible for users to search for quote tweets by entering a tweets URL into the search box icon but a specific icon makes the process a whole lot easier. It’s important because it aids users in finding tweets and follow up conversations, with just a click.

This feature is currently in the most recent update twitter has provided and it’s now available nationwide wide on Google Play and also on the App Store.
