I once took my time to look back at how well Transsion Holdings have improved since their first set of phones gained popularity in Nigeria.
The beauty of Transsion’s growth is in the continual pursuit of being part of their customers’ daily lives; from small and efficient budget-friendly smartphones to sophisticated and still budget friendly ones, and recently to home appliances. It is why Transsion dominates the phone market in Nigeria; particularly with Tecno, itel, and Infinix.
This year particularly, every of Transsion Holdings products has been about doing the different, and I particularly love to see how much itel, in particular, is taking new giant strides; one I love to refer to as its “relaunch”.
Speaking with the Marketing Communications Manager of itel Nigeria; Mr. Oke Umurhowho on an exclusive interview. I was able to gather that he is particularly thrilled at itel’s relaunch and expansion which is expected to take place on the 6 of October 2020; an event that would be available to the public through online mediums and Television stations; particularly Channels and NTA.
Mr. Oke Umurhowho hinted that itel known widely as “itel Mobile” is going to cease being seen in that image and instead be seen as “itel Electronics”. Following this, he mentions that on the 6 of October, itel would be launching mobile accessories like power bank, TWS earphones, and most interestingly the itel TV. He even hints vaguely that itel is venturing into the wearable space (smart bands and smartwatches) but it is not clear if all these would be part of the October 6 launch, but what is clear is that itel still intends to stand firmly on being known as “budget-friendly” as reassured by Mr. Oke Umurhowho.
I look forward to the itel TV and accessories launch in Nigeria, particularly the launch of the itel S16 and the itel television. In the coming days, customers would have access to the awesome products, and wide acceptance of this product by consumers is expected
